Mould Coatings

These coatings are formulated with high solid content and low carrier levels, providing excellent suspension stability and superior re-dispersibility.
They do not require any shop-floor preparation other than thorough mixing and are supplied in ready-to-use form.
The coatings are available in both water-based and solvent-based systems to ensure compatibility with various binder chemistries. Multiple grades are offered to address a wide range of foundry applications and operating conditions.

Technical Notes

  • Zircon-based coatings provide excellent refractoriness, metal penetration resistance, and surface finish.

  • Alcohol-based systems enable rapid drying and are preferred for high-temperature alloys.

  • Water-based coatings offer safer handling and are suitable for controlled drying environments.

  • Alumina fillers are used where high thermal stability and cost optimization are required.
